Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Golden Hilal ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. License to use the App

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Golden Hilal on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial religious use.

2. Purchases and subscriptions (Golden Hilal Pro)

All worship features of the App are free. Golden Hilal Pro is an optional paid upgrade that unlocks exclusive extras such as premium reciters, reading themes, offline audio packs, and planner tools.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account through the App Store when you confirm a purchase.
• Auto-renewable subscriptions (monthly, yearly) renew automatically unless canceled in your Apple ID settings at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel them in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
• The Lifetime plan is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.
• Use “Restore Purchases” on the Plans page to re-activate a previous purchase on a device signed into the same Apple ID.
• Prices are shown before purchase, may vary by region, and may change — never retroactively for a period you have already paid for.
• Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store terms; request one at reports.problem.apple.com. We cannot process App Store refunds directly.
• Promotional, gift, and referral unlocks are complimentary, may be time-limited, are not transferable or for resale, and may be modified or withdrawn at any time.

3. Religious content disclaimer

Prayer times and qibla direction are calculated estimates based on your location, the calculation method you select, and data from third-party providers. They may differ from your local mosque or community. You are responsible for verifying prayer times and qibla direction with a trusted local authority. The App is a convenience tool and is not a substitute for scholarly or community guidance.

4. Acceptable use

You agree to use the App lawfully and not to misuse it. In particular, you agree not to:

• reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except as permitted by law;
• use the App to violate any applicable law or the rights of others;
• interfere with or disrupt the App or the servers and networks it relies on;
• redistribute or resell the App or its bundled content as your own.

5. Intellectual property

The Quran text, translations, and recitation audio are provided by third-party sources and remain the property of their respective owners. The App’s software, design, name, and original artwork are owned by the developer and are protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

6. Third-party services and availability

The App depends on third-party services for prayer times and Quran content. We do not control these services and cannot guarantee their accuracy, availability, or continued operation. Features that require an internet connection may be unavailable offline or if a provider changes or discontinues its service.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT TIMINGS WILL BE ACCURATE FOR YOUR LOCATION.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE DEVELOPER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE APP — INCLUDING ANY RELIANCE ON PRAYER TIMES OR QIBLA DIRECTION.

9. Termination

These Terms apply while you use the App. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or discontinue the App, in whole or in part, at any time.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. The "Last updated" date reflects the latest version.
